The history of Argentina Rafting Expeditions began when two friends, Martin Moreno and Rodolfo Navio, sharing the same passion for the outdoors and rivers, committed themselves to offer unforgettable adventures on the Mendoza River. They met in Mendoza while taking university entrance exams to study physical education. Once graduated, with diplomas in hand, the Mendoza River brought them back together working for a local rafting company. They worked two summers, and together traveled off season to work in the United States. At the close of their second season in Argentina, the rafting company for whom they worked closed, prompting the idea to start a company together.
On December 12th 1993, they ran their first commercial trip. They were equipped with 3 rafts, equipment for 18 paddlers, and surrounded by helpful family and friends.

Their first operations base was a tent. They would set up and take down each season.
After three years of rafting, passion and support invested in the company, they were able to build a log cabin which served as their hub for 10 years
With the filling of the Potrerillos Reservoir, the log cabin was closed. The base was moved the current site and was completed in November 2006 in time for the 2007 season.
Today, 15 years after their first summer with 3 boats, they have a modern facility on the bluffs of the Mendoza River. They offer multiple-sport adventures while still maintaining the same spirit of friendship, creating a place for friends and family to gather.
